We genuinely try to ship your items as fast as possible. We are a very small team at Iconic (only 5 of us) and some, if not all items, require some assembling and packing. 

We do not always have someone spare to do this on the day of your order. On check-out the shipping may say 3-5 days, for example, but this is the time that's quoted to us from the courier we use. This does not include the handling time we require before shipping it. 

If you require any other info then please refer to our T&C s at the bottom of every page on our site or please get in touch. 

If the fasteners are going into a metal thread with out any plastic between the part and thread then you will be able to do your screws up much tighter.  

If in doubt  I find it better to leave them on the soft side and use a good quality thread locker. 

Metal to Metal Joints Rule of Thumb

M4 - 1Nm

M5 - 3Nm

M6 - 4Nm

M8 - 10Nm

The same is to be said for screws that sandwich any plastic parts. I would just snug them up and use a decent thread lock to secure the fastener.

In most cases we will use A2 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Fasteners on our parts. These are very corrosion resistant but can have a tendancy to gall on the threads when using Stainless Steel Nuts. We advise using a lubricant on the threads like copper slip.

" Galling is adhesive wear that is caused by the microscopic transfer of material between metallic surfaces during transverse motion (sliding). It occurs frequently whenever metal surfaces are in contact, sliding against each other, especially with poor lubrication."

Of course! We know that sometimes what we buy isn't always quite what we expect. 

As long as the item hasn't been used and we can restock it, we will happily accept a return. 

If the item is not faulty in anyway and you just don't want it, we will ask that you pay for the return and insist it is a tracked service. 

Any items that are lost on the return will be the buyers responsibility. 

This can be for a few reasons.

• Was the correct shipping address given? One digit on a postcode can make a difference
• As we ship globally we cannot anticipate or predict any issues that are being experienced with local delivery partners. We advise being patient and more often than not the parts do arrive.
• Although our website will give a shipping time, these are only estimates. We do not offer a guaranteed service.

We do find the cost of employing a skilled engineer to make something bespoke may put people off once they understand the prices involved.
